As performance director for art/write, a collaboration between writers and artists who regularly present new work, I help writers feel confident about performing their own work, many of whom haven’t performed before in public.
Projects have included:
Romeo & Juliet: take two- new visual works and playful performances produced through collaborations between 10 pairs of writers and visual artists, all responding to the vivid emotional world of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
Writers Make Portraits– writers respond to an exhibition on the theme of portraiture at the Artists Workhouse, Studley.
Needlemakers- 10 artists and 10 writers to respond to the history of the needlemakers of Redditch and Studley.
Opening the Bee Box– 10 writers respond to 10 artists responding to Sylvia Plath’s iconic poem ‘Opening the Bee Box’ at The Chapel Gallery, Bromyard.
